Coach Arias joined MSC United in 2016, bringing with him a wealth of experience as a player, coach and coach educator. Arias has a USSF National A License and a USSF National Youth License.

At MSC United, Arias coaches the 2002 and 2003 boys teams as well as serving on the coaching staff of our Premier Development League team.

Concurrently with his work here at MSC United, Arias is also a member of Region IV Olympic Development Program coaching staff, the boys junior varsity coach at Red Mountain High School (since 2017), an Arizona Olympic Development Program head coach (since 2005, currently with the 2002 boys team) and a Coaching Instructor for the Arizona Youth Soccer Association (since 2001).

In 2017, Arias was an assistant for the Arizona Christian University women’s program. During Arias’s time with the program the team had an overall record of 8-9-2, securing a team high in wins, conference wins and goals scored (34). While at Arizona Christian Arias helped coach Marisa Ortiz to the NAIA Women's Soccer All-America Honorable Mention Team as she posted 34 points on 15 goals and four assists.

Before joining MSC United, Coach Manny helped found or grow a number of other soccer clubs in Arizona, including TFA Barcelona AZ, Barcelona FC, Chivas Phoenix Soccer Academy and the Ahwatukee Soccer Club. He has been involved with the Arizona high school soccer scene as well, spending time with Skyline High School, Poston Butte High School and Williams Field High School.

Arias came to Arizona at the turn of the millenium to coach with the Arizona Sahuaros, who were in the 3rd division of U.S. professional soccer at the time. In addition to coaching the Sahuaros from 2000 to 2002, Arias has also coached professionally with the Arizona Heatwave from 2003 to 2005 and with the Sedona Strikers from 2013 to 2015.

Before moving into coaching in Arizona, Arias played 14 years of semi-professional soccer in the Los Angeles, California area from 1984 to 1997.

Prior to emigrating to the United States, Arias played professionally in his native El Salvador. Arias began his career with Baygon FC in 1971 and enjoyed a 12 year career in the El Salvadoran first division, culminating in a four year stint with Club Deportivo Universidad de El Salvador.
